Come join us for a dynamic women’s event where we step into our power in community with one another. Led by a Trauma-Informed Life Coach, Yoga Instructors and Energy Healers, you will be lovingly guided to embrace your strong emotions that you may have stored away and release them in a safe container. Together we will welcome those strong emotions and allow them to be released in a supportive environment. Emotional release is a beautiful way to support your nervous system and balance your brain chemistry. Here is some of the science behind our workshop…

WAYS EMOTIONAL RELEASE SUPPORTS YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM

When you suppress strong emotions over time, your nervous system stays in a chronic state of stress or survival mode. This “fight, flight, or freeze” state can lead to:

  • Increased heart rate and blood pressure

  • Muscle tension

  • Sleep issues

  • Poor digestion

  • Anxiety or emotional numbness

Emotional release, when done in a safe and supported space, allows your body to:

  • Shift into parasympathetic mode (rest and digest), which promotes relaxation, healing, and recovery.

  • Discharge excess stress energy that may have been trapped in the body—this can look like shaking, crying, or deep sighing (all signs your system is regulating).

  • Reset your stress response, so you’re less reactive and more resilient over time.

EFFECTS ON YOUR BRAIN CHEMISTRY

Emotional suppression alters the balance of key brain chemicals. When emotions are released:

  1. Cortisol (stress hormone):
Levels decrease, which lowers inflammation, reduces anxiety, and helps your body recover from chronic stress.

  2. Oxytocin (bonding hormone):
Emotional expression—especially in community—can increase oxytocin, which enhances feelings of safety, trust, and connection.

  3. Endorphins and dopamine (feel-good chemicals):
Release often brings a natural high or emotional relief, especially after crying, movement, or deep breathing.

  4. Serotonin (mood stabilizer):
Over time, emotional regulation can improve serotonin levels, leading to improved mood, sleep, and emotional resilience.
